Digital Health
The landscape of Health and Social Care has changed dramatically in recent years. The need to safely provide healthcare input, while minimising attendances at healthcare facilities unless strictly necessary, has led to a rapid increase in the roll-out and use of virtual appointments in the NHS. The widespread adoption of digital health apps for real-time data collection, and the key systems-integration agenda and widespread rollout of Electronic Health and Care Records (EHCRs) or Electronic Patient Records (EPRs) is increasing the opportunity for improved clinical decision making and genuine transformation of health and care pathways.

Many other industries have grasped the potential and opportunity for digital technology to help bring about transformational change. Digital solutions offer strong potential for the NHS to keep people safe in their community and at home; advising, monitoring and alerting when needed, with the ability to communicate and seek response and intervention. Digital is proving to be a cost effective solution across Health and Social Care when used as part of a wider care package.
Digital has the potential to enable transformational change in how we deliver health and social care. Like any other transformation, it requires a strategic approach, careful planning, integration with existing programmes of work and to be complemented by a people-culture.

The emergence of AI technologies in health and care presents a significant opportunity to enhance decision-making, streamline processes, and personalise care. From predictive analytics to conversational tools and intelligent triage, AI is beginning to reshape how services are designed and delivered. While we don’t build or implement these technologies ourselves, we help NHS organisations and systems understand where AI can add value – and how to integrate it thoughtfully into existing pathways and programmes. Our strength lies in bridging the gap between innovation and operational reality, ensuring that digital transformation is clinically relevant, strategically aligned, and grounded in the needs of patients and staff.
