B+A were commissioned to support NHS Fife and Fife HSCP in developing a strategic blueprint for future service configuration across health and social care. This work brought together insights from two major strands: a whole system bed model covering all commissioned inpatient beds across NHS and social care environments, and a primary care service and estate review.
Using long-term demand projections (5, 10, 15 and 20 years) and scenario planning, we helped shape a route map aligned to Scotland’s current health policy aims – with a focus on prevention, population-based planning, hospital redesign, and delivering more services locally.

Modelling
System-wide capacity projections based on a clear evidence base, audit trail and agreed and documented set of assumptions.
Facilitated workshops
Engagement with a wide range of stakeholders across Acute sites, Health and Social Care partnership, Primary Care and Mental Health teams to achieve consensus on scenario planning.
Governance and reporting
Regular meetings with Programme Board to advise on progress, clarify direction, validate assumptions and make pertinent decisions.
